The aim of this project is to perform a compression process on the transmitted data when an interleaving coding is done on the bit stream. The added bits in the interleaving process will be derived from the existing bits of data stream to enable the restoration of the original bit stream when the decompression process is done. The purpose of the compression process is to save the satellite channel bandwidth for more data transmission.
The data compression will be done where a redundancy of bits will be added to the data stream in the process of interleaving coding before transmission to improve the bit error recovery so that the bit stream size is duplicated. The data compression will be done in a way that reduces the size of the bit stream and keeps the efficiency of the bit error correction process at the same time. A mechanism for the interleaving will be contrived to derive the bits to be inserted within the transmitted bit stream from the bit stream itself to enable its restoration after the decompression and the deinterleaving processes are done.
It will be investigated in this project to combine both processes of decompression and deinterleaving into one process, decoleaving, after the satellite signal is received. Apply the artificial intelligence on this decoleaving process to retrieve the original bit stream will be also invistigated. The parameters of AI method applied in the decoleaving will be substituted based on the methods applied for the derivation of the interleaving bits from the original bit stream and for the compression of the encoded bit stream before transmitting it. The substitution of the required parameters of the applied Artificial Intelligence method on the decoleaving will be also investigated in this project.
